RAW Nuts - About Our Coconuts

Everything you need to know about our RAW Nuts Young Coconuts & the Young Coconut Water they contain!

Our Young Coconuts are a very special variety. They produce a very special Coconut Water. They are uniquely grown only in on e area in Thailand. We are the largest grower and exporter of Young Coconuts into the UK & Europe and we are truly proud of our product.

Our Thai Nam Hom Young Coconuts

These are without doubt the very best Young Coconuts you can find. They produce the best tasting Coconut Water which is packed full of nutrients. We tend to them with care to ensure that every single coconut is perfect when it reaches you.

The Nam Hom coconut is recognised as being the best for drinking and for eating the soft white flesh. The flesh is much softer and with a more delicate flavour than you would find on a traditional old coconut.

Although these are called "Young Coconuts" in fact our Nam Hom drinking coconuts are picked at optimum maturity between month 8 and 9, and are fully mature.

In terms of the water, the colour is determined by the amount of flesh contained within the coconut. Obviously we cannpot tell exactly how thick the meat is within each natural coconut. If there is little meat inside then the water will take it's colour from the shell. The water colour can therefore appear clear through yellow to pink, but it will all have the same flavour characteristics.

Every Young Coconuts does not taste the same!

Our RAW Nuts Young Coconuts are picked at their optimum maturity to deliver the best flavour. If you have ever tried a "Young Coconut" and it has tasted sour or astringent, it was probably a traditional old coconut which was picked green & immature - and these do not taste anything like the same as our RAW Nuts!

Will I enjoy the flavour of your Young Coconuts?

The flavour may be different to what you may be used to, or what you may be expecting.

Although naturally high in sugar, the flavour is not sweet like a sugary drink, but nonetheless it is unique and very pleasing.

We should warn you that our Fresh Young Coconuts are very addictive! When you try the Fresh Young Coconut Water from them for the first time you may not be sure, but studies have shown after the first taste people become hooked, and quite frankly, nothing else will do!

If you enjoy the flavour of our RAW Nuts, you will probably never again be happy with the flavour of any of the processed coconut water in bottles, cans or cartons. Only the real thing delivers the flavour you crave!

Best instant noodles ever!
Friday, 3 July 2020  |  Kerrie

These are the most delicious instant noodles I've ever had! Hence why I bought a box of 20! The only suggestion I would give is to boil the noodles for 3.5 minutes. Definitely buying again from Essence of Thailand as they are so hard to find!
