This authentic Hung Lay Changmai Curry Paste from Maesri makes a brilliant - and very rich curry!
MaeSri Hung Lay Changmai Curry Paste is a stew-like Northern Thai Curry prepared without Coconut Milk.
Simply marinade your prepared meat in the MaeSri Hung Lay Changmai Curry Paste for at least one hour.
Add the meat and 300ml of water to a pot at a medium heat, then stir until it thickens. Slowly add the remaining water 3-4 times and keep stirring.
Add ginger and garlic, stir for a good mix. Close the lid and lower the heat. Let it simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender, stir occasionally.
Best served with sprinkled roasted peanuts.
